Sarah Ghods is a graduate student at Boston College studying English Literature and Women’s and Gender Studies. Her research centers on feminist social justice in literature, and she’s incredibly interested in how we can apply this knowledge to the broader world beyond books! Prior to starting her postgraduate program, Sarah served as an AmeriCorps member in Spokane, Washington where she supported community-based mentoring and tutoring programs for elementary and middle school-aged youth. She loves working with and supporting all people – from kindergarteners to adults – and truly believes education is one of the best tools we have to make change.
At the PKG Center, Sarah supports the Social Impact Employment Program which connects students with community partners. Students work collaboratively with community organizations and they utilize their unique skills and academic strengths to help address public challenges while learning to think in new ways about issues that impact community. Sarah is passionate about community-engaged work and is excited to connect both students and organizations in meaningful, collaborative partnerships. Feel free to send her an email!
