I am spending the summer in Moscow, through MISTI I am working for the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art. With the support of the PKG Center I will be sharing narratives from young underrepresented curators, exhibitionists, and artists in Russia – showcasing a thriving community which is finding their own voice while taking on western influences.
My series will focus on specific events, people and cities that are defining this growing community as they search for recognition, funding, and opportunities that have not historically been present in Russia.
Over the next several weeks, I will be posting from Moscow, Samara, Kazan and St Petersburg.
