PKG Office and Program Assistant

PKG Center Administrative Support (40%) to serve as the PKG Center’s welcoming first point of contact; greet and assist visitors; respond to and triage inquiries from students, colleagues, partners, and others; provide information and make connections/referrals to appropriate staff, departments, and resources; manage day-to-day Center issues; prepare and process financial transactions including budgets, requisitions, invoices, journal vouchers, payment requests, and reimbursements; monitor and reconcile accounts and credit cards.

Program and Event Support (40%) to provide logistical and event support across the PKG portfolio including event/program scheduling, space reservations, catering, transportation, speaker confirmations, risk management, reporting, paperwork, and other planning and coordinating needs; on-site support at programs and events; assist with online programs and events as needed. 

Associate/Dean Director Support (20%) to provide administrative support to the Associate Dean/Director including calendar/scheduling, meeting logistics and support, occasional travel arrangements, and other requests.

Hiring Range: $24-29/hour


PKG Program Coordinator for Student Engagement and Outreach

The Program Coordinator for Student Engagement and Outreach, Priscilla King Gray Center for Public Service (PKG Center), will 1) use a data-driven approach to recruit students to participate in PKG Center programs and events 2) develop and deliver trainings and workshops and 3) provide programmatic support to the PKG Center portfolio of programs. The Program Coordinator will report to the PKG Center’s Assistant Dean of Social Innovation.

Responsibilities include developing and deploying a strategic approach for recruiting and engaging MIT students; cultivating and managing relationships with departments/labs/centers/student groups/residence halls and others to promote the center’s portfolio of programs; developing and maintaining a relationship management system documenting key partnerships; developing and implementing yearly outreach plans with program managers; managing and disseminating recruitment materials/swag for programs/events; planning, hosting, and/or joining activities/events to recruit students; promoting PKG’s portfolio of offerings on social media; engaging and cultivating student ambassadors and student outreach staff; tracking outreach outcomes, student participation, and student trends; ensuring accuracy of data; preparing data/material for reports; developing and delivering workshops/trainings; providing advice on best practices for planning, organizing, implementing, and reflecting on ethical and effective public service activities; and providing equitable program support to all PKG Center programs. 

Salary range: $54,000-65,000
