Stand Out in the Job Market with Social Impact Experiences

Thursday, September 28th at 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm in E19-202 – Ford Building (E19).

Registration required via Handshake. Space is limited to 20 people. Food will be served. This PKG Center and CAPD event is open to MIT undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and alumni.

Join the PKG Center for Public Service and CAPD to translate your social impact experiences into resume and LinkedIn entries that stand out. This workshop will be of most value for people who’ve engaged in volunteering, social impact internships and fellowships, community-engaged research, social entrepreneurship, and similar community-focused activities.
We will help you to identify the personal values that you want to express in your career development materials and you’ll develop a vocabulary to effectively communicate your social impact experiences to others.
Learn resume and LinkedIn tips for effectively communicating your skills. We’ll also go over how to use LinkedIn to explore your social impact career options and connect with people in your fields of interest. There will be time at the end for you to work on your resume or LinkedIn profile and receive feedback from your peers and staff.
