Summer Immersions: Team Internships Application Deadline
Team Internships are a collaborative summer internship program between Community Outreach & Patient Empowerment (COPE) and the Priscilla King Gray Public Service Center at MIT (PKG Center) for mid June – mid August 2019. As part of this experience, join a team of MIT student interns that are placed in specific full-time internships with selected supervisors at COPE. Each student will support COPE’s mission to eliminate health disparities and improve the wellbeing of American Indians and Alaska Natives. This particular internship is located in Gallup, New Mexico, serving the Dine community living on or near the Navajo Nation.
Projects are designed to support the public health work of COPE, and address the themes of food access and insecurity, nutrition, communications, training & outreach, data collection & reporting, and implementing a curriculum on cancer awareness.
