Julie Uva

In her role, Julie manages the Social Impact Employment Program, which aims to connect MIT students with academically aligned jobs and internships at community agencies that build students’ skills and career exploration, and yield significant community impact.

Throughout her experience, Julie has held a variety of roles supporting civic and community engagement programs and initiatives in higher education. She is passionate about providing transformative learning experiences for students through reciprocal partnerships to advance social change. Julie received her M.Ed. in Community Engagement from Merrimack College and a B.A. in Sociology from Bridgewater State University.
