Lauren Tyger

Lauren Tyger joins the MIT PKG Public Service Center as the Assistant Dean of Social Innovation. Lauren brings with her nearly four years of experience from the MIT Office of Innovation at iHQ. As the Senior Program Manager of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community, she oversaw student engagement and fostered strategic partnerships that connected innovation, entrepreneurship, inclusion, and experiential learning. Prior to joining MIT, Lauren led interdisciplinary teams and developed student programs at various colleges and universities, including Wentworth Institute of Technology and University of New England. Lauren’s passion for social impact has driven her to apply her Innovation & Entrepreneurship expertise to support the IDEAS Social Innovation Challenge program, and she is eager to contribute to the program’s 20+ years’ legacy at MIT. 

Lauren holds a B.A. in sociology from Denison University and M.A. in higher education administration and student affairs from Ohio State University. Lauren holds a certificate in Social Impact Strategy from University of Pennsylvania.
