Together In Service 2019: Looking Back on April
As many of you may know, April is Together In Service Month at MIT! It’s a time where we can celebrate the social impact MIT students have on their community and work a little harder to engage and be a part of that impact. This April, over 1,000 MIT community members responded to our call to action, participating in service projects on campus and across the city. Here’s a quick look back at all the great work that happened in our communities this April.
The Koch Institute ran an interactive workshop and scavenger hunt to fight against cancer in MIT Cancer Detectives.
MIT student groups and departments partnered across campus to challenge university faculty, staff and students to consider how systemic oppression impacts student access to institutions of higher learning in Developing Substantive Anti-Oppression Practices at MIT.
Students gathered to celebrate making at the annual community event MakerBreak!
UA Sustainability partnered with the Charles River Watershed Association for the Charles River Clean-Up.
Thank to everyone who participated in Together In Service and thank you to everyone who works to make our communities stronger. Happy Together In Service!
